3rd day of the 40 days 08.

Todays topic was called the great farce. As i was reading today's date from the 40 days 08 fasting book, I read about Daniel who fasted and received end-time revelations from God, Esther called for a national fast that helped to avert an empire. I thought when i was reading...this season is the fasting season and if we were to fast without the right heart, would God accept our fasting?

You know, sometimes during fasting somehow, the devil is luring me to sin against God... When we are fasting, we are not supposed to be angry, neither should we spout vulgarities and coarse languages. However, the devil seems to create cases which will make us angry and which makes us sin against GOD. I pray That the devil's plan will fail and that all of us will understand that the devil wants us to get further away from God and the devil will succumb to anything just to succeed. When we fast, it must be accompanied by heart change, character transformation. Only this kind of fasting pleases God =D

I am now praying that God can help me to control my anger and resist to all the temptations of the devil around me and that i will have a heart change and character transformation. Thank You all for reading my daily devotion and GOD BLESS YOU

2nd day Of fast 08

Today, i read the book on 40 Days 08. today, the topic was a great trap. today, I found out that rebellion was a great sin. Rebellion can hide even under christian activities which are good.
Like the book has stated," Christian rituals and ministry-busyness without heart transformation is profoundly offensive to Him. Merely going through the motions of religious piety is false worship"

This line in the book really spoke to me alot. Sometimes at church, when we praise and worship God, we sing songs of praise such as 'Take It All' and 'Everyday'. Sometimes, we tend to sing the songs mainly because we find the song nice, music catchy and because the lyrics are cool. However, we have neglected the true meaning behind worshiping and praising him. When we praise and worship him, we are actually praising him and thanking him for the things he has done in our lives and are giving thanks to him. I feel that when we praise and worship him, we should do it with a proper heart and we should not just sing because we like the song.

When we sing praise songs, our main point in singing is to acknowledge that he died on the cross for our sins and that we will submit ourselves to him in all that we do.

I just like to say that in whatever we do, we must do it with the right heart...=D GOD Bless U ALL

Today, My devotion

Today, as i spent my time reading through the guide book on the '40 days of fasting 08' I felt that God really spoke to me. The 40 days of fasting book, on the first page was talking about a huge buffet. It says that ' when we go to a grand buffet with a wide variety of food, we tend to choose what we want to eat and leave the others aside.' This words spoke to me, especially during the second part when it stated that 'sometimes, we take Christianity as a huge buffet. Sometimes, during our walk with God, we tend to just pick and choose whatever we fancy from the word and skip the parts which we do not like.'

I think that this line really reflects alot on me... mainly because, sometimes when i am around with my friends who are non-christians, during meals, I tend to keep the grace short and sometimes i do not even pray, due to the fact that i am afraid that they will look at me in a wierd manner. However, now I pray that God will give me the courage to daringly pray for my food even with my friends around me, because God took all our shame and he suffered at the cross for my sins and this matter of saying grace is just a tiny ant in comparism to what he has done for me on the cross.

GOD REIGNS FOREVERMORE AND... BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE, I AM FREE!!!!! =D
